Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission: Tucson Listening Tour

The Independent Redistricting Commission's (IRC) mission is to redraw Arizona’s congressional and legislative districts to reflect the results of the most recent census. As part of its mission, the IRC launched a statewide listening tour that is designed to solicit input from constituents about what they would like to see reflected in new political boundaries.  The IRC will be in Tucson August 7th and 8th at:

Sheraton Tucson Hotel & Suites, 5151 E Grant Rd., Tucson, AZ 85712

We are fortunate to have a non-partisan redistricting body in Arizona that helps rein in the worst forms of gerrymandering, but our institutions are only as good as our participation.  Please help keep our democratic institutions strong – and help keep this vital redistricting discussion focused, fact-based, and moderate – by participating in the upcoming listening sessions, either in person or online.

The IRC strongly encourages constituents to take a short training class via Zoom if they want to submit their views.  You can sign up for training here. If you would like to listen to upcoming IRC hearings on the redistricting process, you can sign up here. The IRC generally meets each Tuesday at 8:00 AM. You can also find more information on their website.
