Get Engaged

Many Arizona political organizations share our values and are seeking to build a stronger, fairer, more inclusive state. These groups provide information on candidates, elections, and volunteer opportunities. Many also provide valuable training about how to be an effective participant in our democracy. Be sure to follow them (and us!) on Facebook so you can keep up with their most recent information and events.

Adrian Fontes sat down with TIME to discuss the critical work he and several other candidates are doing right now to save our democracy. Serving as a bulwark between the will of the voters and conspiracy theorists running for critical election administration positions across the country, TIME dubbed these candidates the Defenders. It’s an apt name. The fate of the free world is on the ballot this November. Adrian Fontes and candidates running against election deniers are our frontline defense to protect our fair and free elections and ensure our democracy thrives. But they can’t do it alone.

To keep these extremists out of office this November, the Defenders of democracy, like Adrian Fontes, need critical grassroots support. With our fair and free elections under attack, it’s all of our duties to defend it.

As a US Marine, attorney, and former elections administrator for Arizona’s largest county, Adrian Fontes has the dedication, discipline, and experience needed to be Arizona’s top election official. At a time when extremists are undermining the right to vote, fueling conspiracy theories, and eroding the public’s faith in our electoral process, having a Secretary of State with experience matters.
