June DCQC Adopt-A-Road Program

The Democratic Club of Quail Creek has adopted a section of Old Nogales Highway right outside of Quail Creek.  We are scheduled to conduct our next quarterly clean up on Thursday, June 3, at 7:30 am.  Our adopted road is 1.2 miles starting at the intersection of Old Nogales and E. Quail Crossing Blvd going south.

We will meet at 7:30 am in the parking lot between Creative Arts and Technology Center and the Madera Clubhouse.  Bill Foraker will give our safety briefing, explain the process, have us sign the waiver, and answer all of our questions.  John Garcia is our liaison with the Town of Sahuarita and he will provide each of us with Pickers, Bags, Gloves, and Safety Vests. You should be prepared to walk about 1.5 miles maximum.

John Garcia was VERY pleased with our earlier effort and commended us for our great work.  ‘Our’ road is not nearly as trash-covered this time and the work should go faster. If you are willing to participate in this worthy effort to keep our community clean, please email Bill Foraker at flyinsob@gmail.com.
