The community is invited to join us on Saturday, December 18th at 3:00 PM in the Silver Room of the Madera Clubhouse. At our final meeting of 2021, we will celebrate two worthy local organizations; Friends In Deed and Sister José. 

Friends In Deed is a local organization that lends medical equipment to Green Valley and Sahuarita residents without any cost or prequalification. They also provide transportation to medical and other appointments. We will hear from Larry Engel, an 11-year veteran driver with Friends in Deed who will talk about his work and share how the organization has been affected by COVID -19.

Sister Jose’s president and CEO, Jean Fedigan will join us to speak about their mission to help Tucson’s homeless women. Sister José Women’s Center is dedicated to the care and nurture of homeless women and provides showers and laundry, meals, clothing, and a supportive community so women can create a self-sufficient life and move out of homelessness.

Both organizations depend heavily on the generosity and hard work of volunteers. Make a resolution to help out in your community in 2022!
