Join local Democrats for an afternoon of learning and action planning. First, we will hear from Gabriella Cázares-Kelly about the raft of restrictive new voter laws that have been passed by the Arizona legislature, what they mean for us, and what they mean for rural and tribal areas. Next we will hear from Susan Bickel, Democratic chair of Legislative District 9, about Arizona’s redistricting process. We will then break into small groups for action planning around how we can best participate in redistricting, voter registration, and voter turnout so that we can mobilize voters in 2022! This is both an in-person and virtual event, but you must sign up via the Zoom link here to attend. The in-person meeting will be held at the Madera Clubhouse Ballroom at 2055 E.
