Santa Rita Experimental Range: Past, Present, Future

The University of Arizona’s Santa Rita Experimental Range (SRER) is the oldest experimental rangeland in North America. Founded in 1902 by President Theodore Roosevelt the SRER serves as an ecological laboratory for a wide array of research on semi-arid ecosystems. Research on the SRER has been instrumental in broadening our understanding of grazing and rangeland ecology, hydrology, soil, plant, wildlife and climate science. Please join SRER Manager Brett Blum for a discussion about the diverse history of the SRER as well as a look forward to the next century of discovery.
