September Adopt-A-Road Event

DCQC has adopted a section of Old Nogales Highway right outside of Quail Creek.  We will conduct our next quarterly clean up on Thursday, September 2.  We will meet at around 7:15 am in the parking lot between the Creative Arts and Technology Center and the Madera Clubhouse and plan to finish by 9am in order to beat the heat.  Please wear sturdy shoes, long pants, and a long-sleeved shirt, especially this time as the brush has grown high. Bring a hat and water as well. Bill Foraker will give a safety briefing and answer all of our questions.  Everyone will receive all needed equipment, including pickers, bags, gloves, and safety vests. You should be prepared to walk about 1.5 miles maximum.

Please email Bill Foraker at flyinsob@gmail.com to participate in this worthy effort to keep our community clean. You can also visit the Community page on our website to learn more about volunteer opportunities with local organizations.
