Conventional wisdom has it that our political system is broken and bipartisanship is dead. And yet, a bipartisan group of Senators just crafted an historic compromise measure on infrastructure. Then, nineteen Republicans put partisanship aside, defied the endless threats coming from Mar-A-Lago, and joined every Senate Democrat to approve $1 trillion worth of desperately needed infrastructure spending. The bill will fix roads and bridges, bring broadband Internet to Americans who need it, upgrade the power grid in a way that helps shift to renewable energy, and create millions of good paying jobs. You can read a summary of the bill here. It hasn’t passed the House. Yet. That’s where you come in! Check out how you can help on our Take Action page.
