Each winter, the Arizona-Sonoran Desert Museum leads “Save Our Saguaros” month to beat back buffelgrass, an invasive, fire-promoting grass that can forever change our beloved Sonoran Desert landscape. Due to Covid-19, SOS has a different goal this year. Rather than hosting numerous buffelgrass digs around Tucson, the Museum is asking people to learn how to identify the grass and then contribute buffelgrass locations to a community map.
